planet blue's roots started in malibu- we opened in 1995 as a cozy and tiny little store selling specialty apparel and accessories from around the world! since malibu was a bit more isolated then (pre-insane paparazzi days), the super stylish locals could get their fix at cross creek with us.
customers would hang out forever in the store shopping and sometimes just catching up with the store girls. since the bar life was pretty limited in malibu, the girls would rally up friends and head to the beach for insane bonfires. like we said before, fall is our favorite time because there are still warm enough days where we can cozy up by the beach with friends and way less crowds.

the babes in the bonfire nights video lookbook are some of these friends. some have been a part of the pb fam since elementary or even high school. growing up in malibu and with pb nearby, these girls have mastered the malibu style in all their own ways. they're the kind of girls that no matter what they're wearing, you want it (shop all of it here btw). they could even be in the same blue life tee that you already own, and want to make you get another one (they're that freakin' good). it's that effortlessness that no one can imitate. get to know them just a bit more >>

Fall Uniform...
Boots!!! You can always find me wearing my favorite brown fold over Fauzian boots, a big knit pullover sweater, and shorts or skinny jeans.
Summer Uniform...
Cut off jean shorts, a vintage tee, and either ankle boots or my brown fold overs that are pretty much glued to my feet all year round.

The way that the girls here incorporate different pieces into their daily wardrobe. Someone could be wearing their usual Levi's shorts with a ripped up tee and then you look down and they're wearing the best shoes you have ever seen!

I've been shopping at the store since I was 13 or 14. I remember we would wake up at 5am for the sales. We would get to Cross Creek when it was still dark out and the line would already be to the street! I remember all the older girls who worked there and thinking they had the best and most unique style. Jen Rossi was my style icon and still is! I got hired at the store when I was still a teenager and loved being part of the Pb family while I was there.
