Cookie Good
Birthdays are pretty big deals at the PB web office...so for our HR Manager Elle's birthday last week, we got her a box-load of her favorite cookies from Cookie Good (caramel/pretzel/chocolate chip).
One is seriously enough, but if you've got a real big sweet tooth, you'll want seconds.

We first found out about these cookies from Blue Plate on Montana Ave, but decided to check out their actual bakery on Santa Monica Blvd to get these babies fresh.

The king of all things quirky, Wes Anderson's (Rushmore, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and the Royal Tenenbaums to name a few) new movie Moonrise Kingdom hits theaters this weekend. We don't want to give too much away...but know that it's a true love story behind the eyes of two young 12-year olds. Follow them along their fantastical journey filled with characters that you're guaranteed to adore.

Gjelina's is already a weekly stop for us, whether it's GTA (Gjelina's Take Away) for breakfast or a quick lunch or their sit down establishment for a late night dinner (open until midnight every single day!) We're especially fond of their warm strawberry & rhubarb crisp with homemade almond gelato :)
And with strawberries in season, this is the perfect summer night treat.

Breading Dogs
We couldn't understand the phenomenon behind "breading cats"/bread heads, but as soon as we started doing it to our pups, we realized how this nonsensical act is actually pretty funny. We won't be doing it everyday, but once in a lifetime is worth the laugh.
