Ready for some new & beloved stuff to try out? We've got a fun roster of "so good right nows" to keep you busy all week until next Tuesday :)Cinespia Cemetery Screenings
Last year, we told you what to wear to Cinespia, an annual summer movie screening event held every Saturday at the Hollywood Cemetery. The screenings are back on so we jumped right back into the swing of things to watch Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train.
If you've never been before, here's the simple break down of how these things go down (as recommended by the folks behind Cinespia)
- Get directions to cemetery screenings
- Bring a picnic dinner and drinks (alcohol is allowed!!)
- Park on cemetery grounds ($10---worth it)
- DJs spin before and after the screenings
- Bring your favorite pillows and blankets
- Sorry no tall chairs and no dogs :(
- NO BBQ
- **Bring a date or go with a group of your favorite people (PB added rule!)
Upcoming screenings this month include...Silence of the Lambs, Sabrina, and Grease.
The PB fam is planning on showing up for Sabrina on May 26th, so we'll see you all there!
Our girls at the Santa Monica store are crazy for Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market!
The fast-casual restaurant owned by Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen focuses on fresh and seasonal ingredients thrown into their menu of sandwiches, salads and soups.
"I get the Roasted Chicken Prosciutto sandwich--chicken, mozzarella cheese, roasted peanuts, and balsamic vinegar on a ciabatta roll. Seriously AMAZING. The best part is that they are SO nice there and they make their own soda! The root beer is the best thing you have ever tasted!! Our manager Krystal loves the Not so Fried Chicken sandwich..." - Meghan, Santa Monica
Take a look at their extensive menu of sandwiches! If nothing is tickling your fancy, then you can always create your own!
So far, this mini chain restaurant has only four locations...two spots in Downtown LA, Marina Del Rey and the new West Hollywood shop!

See it all in all it's glory here!Arcona
Our PB Venice and Malibu stores are one of the only few store retailers that carry Arcona products besides the Arcona Spa itself...and that's because we believe in these products so much!
The skincare line started in 1989 right here in Los Angeles by a woman named Arcona.
All of their products have are loaded with active ingredients that are cold-processed in small batches (a very labor and time intensive process, which is why other lines don't create their products with this method), creating a product worth every dollar to promote healthy skin. All products are free of petrochemicals, binders, fillers, parabens, perfumes, dyes and other toxic ingredients.
Get the full story behind Arcona here.
Our HR Manager Elle swears by their eye serum!
If you want a real treat, head over to the Arcona studio in Santa Monica for one of their signature facials. If you don't got the time or the cash, we recommend starting off with their basic 5 program available at our Venice and Malibu store (a Clarisonic brush is a great addition!)
